Enterprise & Newcastle Reservoirs

Our goal this summer is to go find all the remote, hidden reservoirs. We went and visited these two gems out in rural Utah, it’s especially nice right now since the main reservoirs in St. George are super crowded. Enterprise hardly had any people and it’s surrounded by these beautiful green mountains and these big white boulders called the Honeycomb campgrounds. There is also a really cool dam at the lower reservoir that has a tunnel you can walk through and a little cove of water surrounded by rocks! Matt and I have been getting into fishing lately, and when we went to Newcastle reservoir, we were catching a big rainbow trout almost every cast! It was nuts! We’ve never had better fishing anywhere else. The only thing though is that there is a sign that says not to eat the fish because they have high levels of mercury… so that’s probably why there are so many! These are both super underrated reservoirs though, I would definitely recommend.
